FREE MOD #4

Once again this is for the turbos. So sorry but like i said i don't know much about the nt's.

Today you are going to learn about a little piece of plastic robbing 1-2 lbs of boost. Its really pretty sad, not exactly sure why its there, but its steals power which means its gotta go!! This mod is completely free, however please take caution, as it was explained to me i sahll explain to you " This mod can go from free to $60.00 or more in a hurry". I mean a real big hurry a little too much torque, the wrong angle, to much pull or push and blamo...you just spent more money than you planned on in a split second.
What you are to do is remove a restrictor out of your boost control solenoid(BCS) (if spelling is wrong please forgive me). Its a little sleeve in the nipple that restricts air flow. Remember air flow restriction is a BAD thing. And please read this whole issue before popping your hood.

1. Disconnect your MAF and remove your flipped filter or FIPK.

2. Disconnect the tubes from the inlet hose, once again remember or tag them so that you remember where they go.

3. Disconnect the inlet hose from the turbo(you might find a place that says you can do it without taking it out but thats a pain its easier to take it out).

4. Locate your BCS it is on the frame on the passenger side of the car approx under the BOV. One of the tubes you took off the hose connects to the BCS. It has to hoses connecting to it, you see it, of good.

5. Now remove the BCS from the frame, don't try to do this by leaving it on there it can be done that way but its not worth the risk, realy its not.

6. Disconect the tubes Remember where they go. Look at where the tubes hooked up at you see the holes, blelieve it or not they are actually the same size. Do not argue, the lower one appears smaller yes but thats because of the restristor in it!!

7. To remove this resistor your are going to need a small screw i mean a small tiny screw(please no egos you dont want a big screw for this job if you do you are going to get a big screw in your wallet ), and a pair of needle nose pliers(regular will work) i used a eyelet screw on mine and it worked great.

8. Twist the screw into the restrictor very carefully, DO NOT twist it quick, you will know when you have it in far enough because the restrictor wil twist a little bit inside the nipple.

9. Now very carefully grap the screw with the pliers and gently but firmly pull on the screw, if it doesn't start coming out try to twist and pull at the same time. Now if you think you might want to put that back in some day then place it in a secure place if not throw the restrictor away.

10. Put everything back together. Congrats your done....for now.

Alright now that you have done this mod i must explain that you may not feel a difference but a dyno of before and after will tell you the difference.

Now go spend a little bit of money go out and buy some V or better rated tires.

I have done this myself. Was EASY! I screwed a little screw into it a few turns...took pliers and pulled the screw and little "pill" out. Noticed no gain on the gauge but I was already at 15 psi
