Free Mod 6

Alright here is a super easy really fast FREE mod for you. Do not do this mod if you live in a cold climate(i.e. the north east-plains states Wyoming and the like). What you are going to do here is bypass the coolant line goinginto your throttlebody. First the reason it is there: the coolant runs through the throttle body to warm the air to help vaporize the fuel in the combustion chamber to help with cold starts in cold weather. Why to do this mod: we all know the benifits of cold air coming into your engine, well if the coolant line is there to heat it up then why would you even bother with a cold air intake if its just gonna get heated up anyways? You can do this mod on almost any car. The pics are from my 4g63 so it may look different on your car but should be in the same place. First take your intake pipe off thats hooked up to the throttle body(for turbo guys thats the soft tube hooking up to the throttle body). Now unhook the lines you see my finger on in the first pic from the thorttle body and disconnect the line in the back from the bigger tube that goes into the fire wall(it will be the shorter line) Now hook up the other line inthe nipple that you unhooked the other line from as seen in the pic. Reinstall you intake pipe and enjoy the colder air going into your car.

It will in theroy help any car as it stops the coolant for heating up the incoming air. However your car may be different in the tubing so just make sure you loop it correctly.
