ODB II Readers

I just want to let everyone know that just because your MIL is not on does not mean that you do not have any problem codes. The reason this may happen is that the ECU will light up the MIL until the code is hit twice in a row if not it will not light and will be put in the memory. Certain codes or only ran in certain conditions and if you hit the code once and than the next time you drive around for some reason you dont hit the mark that code is ran again than you will have a "Pending Code" (code in memory). You will still recieve this code with an ODB II reader. Just remember some codes for example the misfire one will be ran the whole time while driving but other codes like a EVAP pressure will only be ran upon start up. The reason for the EVAP only running then is so that if you gas up and forget the gas cap get home get out and see it you put it on and then start your car again you wont have the code. Run an ODB II reader whenever you feel something different in your car. Just Because the MIL is NOT on DOESN'T mean you dont have a code.
