Question Radio shuts off when volume is to high.

Hey guys right now i have a Kenwood kdc-x791 CD player hooked up in my car. When the volume is put on 25(i think it goes up to 30-35) or higher my radio will shut off and turn back on. It also shuts off if i hit a big bump. All of the connections are soldered. Im thinking maybe something is shorting it out or it is over drawing the radios internal amp and shutting it down as a safety so it doesn't burn out. Any ideas, help or a way to fix this would be great. thanks in advance.
